After thorough evaluation and in aligned with regulatory requirements, we have made the difficult decision to temporarily suspend LifPay’s operations. As part of the wind-down process for the wallets, we kindly ask all users to withdraw your bitcoin within the next 60 days.

If you have not withdrawn within 60 days after receiving this information, we will no longer provide any guarantee for the withdrawal, but we will still take necessary measures to protect your assets and continue to provide you with the necessary service in the future.

What is lightning?

When we mention "lightning," we're typically talking about the "Lightning Network," a layer-2 solution constructed atop Bitcoin. The Lightning Network enables swift and cost-effective Bitcoin transactions, all while preserving the security and decentralization of the Bitcoin blockchain (layer-1).

What is LifPay?

“LifPay is a Bitcoin and Lightning wallet integrated on top of the Bitcoin and Lightning network. It facilitates quick and easy scanning for receiving and sending sats (short for "satoshi," the smallest unit of Bitcoin, where 1 BTC equals 100,000,000 sats). Whether you're an individual looking to transact globally at lightning speed or a business owner aiming to personalize your lightning payment page, LifPay provides a seamless and enhanced payment experience.

What are the core features LifPay offers?

LifPay offers a wide range of features and keeps building to be the most user-friendly Bitcoin wallet, including:

Receiving and sending sats globally in seconds without a 3rd party (i.e., banks).

Where can I get LifPay?

LifPay is available on iOS App Store, Android Download and Google Play.

What are the fees for each transaction?

If you transfer within a lightning address, it's free when receiving and sending between LifPay accounts. If you transfer sats with another lightning wallet other than LifPay, there might be a small routing fee charged by the lightning network. The fee is usually less than 0.1% of the total amount being transferred, even almost 0. If you transfer to the Bitcoin network address, we will charge a 8,000 sats base fee + a miner fee, but we charge 0 when you receive sats 'on-chain'.

How long does it take to receive and send money via Lifpay?

It's (almost) instant if the transaction is between lightning wallets. If you receive and send between LifPay and the Bitcoin Network, it will take 3 confirmations (The miner fee determines the duration) on the Bitcoin Network.

I sent BTC to LifPay, why is it still on the way?

When you send a BTC 'on-chain' payment you must pay a miner fee. The size of that fee (and the state of the Mempool at the time) determines how soon a miner will include your transaction in the blockchain. If you or the exchange you sent from chose a fee that was too small, your payment may take many blocks to confirm - potentially hours or even days.

What is the minimum and maximum sats I can send with Lifpay?

You can send and receive as little as 1 sat with LifPay! Currently, the maximum amount you can send is 0.2 to 0.3 btc, which is 20,000,000 sats – 30,000,000 sats. If you need to transfer a larger amount via LifPay right now, please send us an email at support@lifpay.me, and we will increase the Lightning channel to make it possible for you.

The recipient said the money was not received, but on my end, the App said it is sent successfully. Why is that?

We've encountered a few cases in which the recipient wallets did not receive payments from LifPay. We're more than happy to assist you by providing 3rd party evidence of payments sent via our node. Please email us at support@lifpay.me, and our technical specialist will assist you with that.

The My Lightning Page function is very cool! How do I personalize my My Lightning Page?

Thanks! My Lightning Page is indeed a great tool to help you connect your content, personalize payments, and earn Bitcoin in a click! It's kind of like Linktree, but for Bitcoiners. To get started, go to https://dashboard.lifpay.me/. You'll be redirected to a QR Code, which you can scan with your LifPay mobile App to log in. Once you're logged in, you can go to your profile to add any social media links you'd like to add. For your Bitcoin payment, you can click "Templates" on the dashboard to start personalizing your lightning payments. Last but not least, don't forget to turn on your created templates on your profile and start using your lightning page! You can review your lightning page at https://lifpay.me/YourAccountName.

How do I set up and claim my own @lifpay.me LN address?

It's very simple! Go to your LifPay App. There's a menu button on the top right, and you can click on your prifile to edit your Lighting Address and other personalized stuffs.

Is our wallet custodial?

Yes, because we want to make Bitcoin and Lightning Network accessible to the general public around the world. Therefore, the current LifPay design without people owning their node is the best way we can think of to encourage as many people as possible to join the Lightning Network. Can I connect my own nodes?

Not at the moment, but we'll consider this feature in the future.

Can I buy and sell bitcoin on LifPay?

Not yet, but we're working hard to have this important function in the near future.
